MPC supplies high-precision, high-quality collets under the ETS/ETA brand name from Tecnopinz.
Our ER-compatible collets offer unmatched self-centering precision for improved runout, uniform clamping pressure even at high RPM, high rigidity, better tool clearance, and improved tool life.

ETS Geometry ColletThe ETS geometry collet sets a reference for the world of precision mechanics. ETS collets are suitable for all processes requiring a high level of accuracy with tool-shank diameters from 1.00 mm to 26.00 mm. |
|
|
ETA Geometry ColletThe ETA geometry collet is designed specifically for extremely precise and high-speed machining, for tools with a minimum tool shank diameter of 0.20 mm. Fewer cuts make it possible to work at speeds up to 100,000 rpm. |
|
|
ETS Spray ColletThe ETS spray collet has the same features and advantages of the standard ETS collet and ensures direct spraying of the coolant onto the tool, due to the 4 bore holes specifically proportioned to the bore diameter. |
|
|
ETS Spray HSM ColletThe ETS spray HSM collet has the same features and advantages of the ETS spray collet, but has been engineered for the high speed milling machining, ensuring a direct spraying of the coolant onto the tool with operating speeds up to 20,000 rpm. |
|
|
ETS Hermetic ColletThe ETS hermetic collet is ideal for the use of inner-cooled tools on extremely reduced operating spaces inside the machine. This solution ensures the same application as the ETS Fluid nut without need of any additional device and it is fully compatible with standard ETS nuts. |

High-precision for improved runout and concentricity |
| Our revolutionary collet geometry allows for much-improved runout and concentricity values compared to competitors. For even more accuracy, our Ultra Precision (UP) collets, offered for all ETS and ETA collets, are capable of concentricity tolerances less than .00012”/.003mm. | |

Compatible with all ER toolholders |
| Our ETS/ETA collets are fully compatible with your existing ER toolholders with the use of our corresponding ETS/ETA nuts. Improving your precision is easy with our ETS/ETA collets. | |
3/ |
Better tool clearance, higher rigidity for precision machining |
| Our collets allow for better tool clearance, letting you operate at closer proximity to the part than any other brand of ER collets. This helps reduce vibrations, increase set-up rigidity, and improve quality. | |

Better tool life |
| We offer collet types specifically designed for use with coolant: the Fluid collets are hermetically-sealed for use with through-coolant tooling, and the Spray collets allow for high-pressure spraying of coolant onto the tool directly through the face of the collet. In addition, the improved runout performance of our standard ETS/ETA collets will improve tool life, too! | |

Uniform clamping pressure at high RPM |
| Our ETA collets are specifically-designed to perform well at high speed. Our ETA 6 and ETA 8 collets maintain precision even at 100,000RPM! | |

Easy to use and long-lasting construction |
| The ETS/ETA collets and their matching nuts lock together to form a single element for installation into your machine, avoiding unnecessary abrasion and wear. Together with their superior quality, our collets are long-lasting and maintain their performance better than alternatives. | |

Easy customization |
| We can easily provide custom diameters of all our collets, in addition to other adjustments like corrosion-resistance or geometric changes. See the form below for custom inquiries! |
It’s simple! Our ETS/ETA designations replicate the standard ER denominations for collets and nuts.
Example Collet Conversion:
ER 16 collet – 3mm = ETS or ETA 16 – 3mm
Example Nut Conversion
ER 16 – M22x1.50mm = ETS or ETA 16 – M22x1.50mm Nut
*You may notice that we designate ER 11 collets as ETS/ETA 12. These are interchangeable; our ETS/ETA 12 collets will work in your ER 11 toolholder.
Micro Precision Components specializes in the ultimate in precision machining, and our collets replicate that focus. The Ultra Precision (UP) line, available for both ETS and ETA geometries, offer the highest-possible precision, achieving concentricity values of better than .00012”./.003mm.
The best collets for use in CNC routers and CNC mills are ER collets, the most common standard collet type used in these kinds of machines. They are standardized under ISO 6499 and available in ER-8, ER-11, ER-16, ER-20, ER-25, ER-32, ER-40, and ER-50 standard series. These collets are readily available, easy-to-use, and offer excellent clamping pressure on cylindrical tools.
The most frequently used collet types in machining applications are ER, R8, and 5C collets. R8 collets are mostly used in milling applications and do not require a separate toolholder, while 5C collets are designed for workholding in lathes, rather than for toolholding. ER collets are used throughout the industry for toolholding and workholding, in both mills and lathes.
