Escomatic Production

Stock:

Coil (25’or longer in length)
The continuous feed minimizes waste to 6" per coil and allows non-stop, high precision production

Machines:

D4 (.157” dia. max)
D4 (.157” dia. max) with D6 attachments
D6 (.236” dia. max)

Process:

Tight tolerance coil material is fed through a straightening device. The material never spins. Instead, the tools are mounted in a large collet device that spins around the material.

A counter collet is located opposite the exiting material which can be used for various operations on the end of the part. (not shown) The counter collet also helps to support the piece as it exits, allowing for a burr-free cutoff.

The material and speed efficiency advantage over a cam operated machine decreases as the number operations required increases. Escomatics, in general, cannot hold extremely tight tolerances like the Tornos machines.
